Top 10 things I enjoy doing in my off time (not in any particular order).
1. Read a good christian fiction book. (just finished Lori Wick's. Sophie's Heart)
2. Read my favorite blogs and Facebook.
3. Play computer games (right now I'm hooked on 80 Days Around the World)
4. Watch a good movie (romantic comedy or a good disaster movie like Twister or My Big Fat Greek Wedding)
5. Take a nap.
6. Go out to eat with my family.
7. Play the piano (preferably with no one around)
8. Walk through a mall and people watch. (I'm not much of a shopper.)
9. If I'm tired or had a particularly hard day, I like to veg in front of the TV for a little while (just so I don't have to think too hard).
10. Pet my dog (she can be so relaxing sometimes)
Man, I sound pretty boring!! Oh well, it works for me.

I particularly like the take a nap part! I also enjoy vegging in front of the TV. The problem here, though, is that if the TV is on, it's on a cartoon or Disney. Not exactly indulgent vegging fare!
ReplyDeleteI would imagine that with your job, like mine (working with the public) that the less drama in the free time the better!
ReplyDeleteOur city just finalized the new budget... we knew CUTS were a huge necessity.... who got the big cuts... the police dept.! Two empty positions will not be filled, the police chief doesn't get the new car they had been budgeting for, for three years. How does that make sense?
I love to do all the same things---but right now the nap is sounding the best! Ahhh!
ReplyDeleteThose aren't boring at all! They all sound great to me!!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could play the piano......the nap part is sounding really good!
ReplyDeleteI like the same things (except not the piano part because I can't play - never could play very well)! If that's boring then COUNT ME IN for boring! Better than DRAMA!
ReplyDeleteI just realized it wasn't Tuesday. I was going to participate!
