I received this in an e-mail and thought it was fascinating. Thought I'd share it with you.
"Long Live The Queen"
The phrase must be working
I was a little shocked by the pictures
when it penetrated my brain
how long she's been around.
She gives new meaning to the phrase
"Long Live the Queen"
How old does this one make you feel?
Hope you enjoyed this look back at the Queen through the years as much as I did.
I love it!
ReplyDeletewow! this was great.
ReplyDeleteI knew she'd been around forever, but it really sinks in when you see the passage of time with all those presidents.
ReplyDeleteAnd she still has her purse! I used to wonder what she had in there - she certainly didn't need money or a driver license! I guess a gal always needs a tissue and some lipstick!
Wow - that is pretty cool! She fasinates me anyways... LOVED the movie "the Queen"...
ReplyDeleteRemember how old the Queen Mum was before she died.. over 100 - the royal life must be pretty good! :)
Love it! When my nana was about 10 she met Then-Princess Elizabeth in a park one day. (They were about the same age). They played catch for a couple tosses of the ball but then Elizabeth's nanny made her continue on home for lunch
ReplyDeleteThe Queen is so special. Thanks for sharing these lovely pictures today. If you ever visit London in August you can go into Buckingham Palace and look around The Queen's home. It's really interesting. She allows this to happen because she is not at home in August.

The irony about the Queen is not how old she is (84, I think, which is the new 60, LOL) but how long she's been Queen. I think she was 26 when she received the throne. Amazing.
ReplyDeleteI love all of the pictures. Seeing her with Reagan and Bush 41 was a great trip down memory lane! Thanks!
You have an award to pick up over by me!
ReplyDeleteuntil next time... nel
