Friday Fragments

Still have to finish decorating. I have a bunch of things laying on the couch I want to put up, but haven't done it yet. Lazy much?

Going this weekend to get a bow (or ribbon to make a bow) for our Christmas tree topper. Join us on the 19th (check out the button on my sidebar) and I'll post a picture or two.

Made a cake last night. This is something we rarely do here. Mainly because if I make it, I eat it and I definitely don't need it. Anyway, it's good and hubby and I are enjoying it. In fact, that's what I had for breakfast. See what I mean.

I've been enjoying reading some light fiction books with Christmas settings. These are my favorites any time of the year, but especially around Christmas.

Taking mom to the heart doctor this afternoon. Prayers would be appreciated.

Going tonight to pick up painting supplies for the bathroom. Thinking about a really pale blue. Guess I'll know for sure before the nights over.

Click the button here and go join Mrs4444 for Friday Fragments.

  1. Can't wait to see the bow Christmas tree topper.

We have a whole shelf of "Christmas" novels set aside for this time of year at the library where I work.

  2. Cake for breakfast has eggs right? Then it meets Breakfast requirments. Prayers for your mom at the doctors. Pale ble in a bathroom is very nice. Going to paint it for Christmas? Enjoy your weekend.

  3. I still have some decorating left to do, too. It's in our "Christmas" box, which one of the cats has decided makes a good bed.

I'm excited to see the bow for your tree!

I hope your mom is OK.

  5. Enjoyed your fragments! Prayers for your mom! Hope all goes well. We still have to put our tree up and I got a couple little things to do outside, like put a new bow on the wreath. Keeping busy between Ebay listings, have food to make for a funeral at church Saturday. Guess I almost did a Friday Fragments here... should have just joined in. lolol

    1. Mom goes for a bunch of tests tomorrow. Will then know what's going to happen when she sees Dr. again on Friday.

  9. Blue for the bathroom sounds pretty. I don't know what it is about this time of year that makes me want to paint over my break, but I'm doing my best to avoid the urge this year.

btw, I'm glad your mom's able to avoid surgery, and I hope the alternative works. :)
