If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9

Dear Blog Friends - UPDATE

I had some medical tests last week and some things did not look right. I will be having some needle biopsies done in the morning. I don't know what is going to be found and quite frankly, I'm a little nervous about it. But I believe God is in control and that nothing will happen to me that hasn't passed through His hands first. I trust that He has my best interest in mind and will go with me each step of the way.

That being said, I would appreciate any prayers you would be willing to lift up. I believe in prayer and I know God answers. James 5:16 says "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Thank you so much.

UPDATE:
I just got word today that my tests are positive for cancer.  At this point I have no idea what is coming or what I'll be going through.  I just wanted to thank you for you prayers and ask you to continue praying.

Thank you again.

  7. I am soo sorry to hear this Cathy. I know first hand how scary it is to hear the words, "you have cancer" as I heard them myself almost six years ago now when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. But I can also tell you first hand that our God walked with me each step of the way and filled me with a peace that passes all understanding. I was very fortunate in that mine was such that I did not require chemo or radiation, but it did result in a double mastectomy. It was not a long journey for me but it was still one in which I had no control and dealt with all the usual fears and adjustments. God was good and everything I had ever hoped He would be in such a situation. I will pray for wisdom for your doctors, peace for you and your family, and healing in the mighty name of Jesus. Blessings to you, Debbie

  11. Just reading this. Hang in there. You're on my list of people to pray for St. Peregrine's (Patron Saint of cancer patients) intercession.
