It's Tuesday Morning

It's Tuesday morning and the 4 day weekend is over. I'm sitting at the table typing this and eating my oats..  Back to work I go in just a few minutes. I'm almost dressed, my lunch is packed, I've done my morning devotions, so I'm about ready.

We had a nice Christmas. It was different, but nice.  Neither girl was able to come home for our traditional morning gift giving.  We had to mail Kelli's gifts to her because she couldn't come home at all.  Kerri had to work but she got to come to grandma's later in the afternoon where we got to spend some time with her and Colton.  That was very good.   Then we got to FaceTime with Kelli while at Grandma's, so she got to see and talk to everyone. And that was very good.

So Christmas was different and weird but it was still good.  Hope you all had a good one.

I better get to work.  Talk to you soon.

  1. that's a good way to put it, different but nice. That was our christmas too! None of my kids were able to make it home. Jared was supposed to come on Christmas eve but a snow storm here kept him away. The snow delayed us but we were able to drive to my parents for Christmas dinner and spend it with my family. Though it wasn't a "normal" Christmas for me, it was still good and I am blessed. Happy New Year Cathy!

  2. Time to get back to the grind.
Funny how christmas can change through the years... ours looks so different than it did many years ago. But its always good to celebrate it however it looks.

  3. I hope you have a nice day at work. I'm not happy when plans start to change. Glad you had time with Kerri and were able to face time with Kelli. Ours was different this year for the very first time ever. We Skyped with Amber and Dylan which was nice. Adam and his girlfriend Gabby came over around 1 pm. We had a lovely time together. It was different yet I was very calm about it. I didn't cry once. God has given me peace over these changes in our life. May 2017 be filled with blessing for you and your family.

  4. That sounds like ours. Everyone is going to be here this afternoon and I'm so happy about that. I think I don't do different very well. :) Have a good day at work!

  5. I've noticed this year that for many of us the traditional family Christmas is falling away, but for the most part we are forging new traditions and ways of celebrating. I admit I mourned the first year things were not as they had always been, but this year I looked forward to the smaller, quieter Christmas Day.
