Tuesday 4 Meme - Shopping

1.   What do you think of discounts and sales?
I like sales, but not the crowds to fight to get them.  I prefer online shopping.

2.   What's the biggest bargain you've found?

I did not Black Friday shop.

3.   What do you think of shopping days like Black Friday?

I do not like them. However a couple of years ago I went with a friend and her girls in the middle of the night and had fun, because I was just there to go along and watch them.  If I'm not searching for specifics, it's fun to people watch.

4.   What are the good and bad things about shopping malls and shopping online?

Online is good because you don't have to fight the crowds, but bad because you can't actually see and touch the item.

Thanks for visiting.

  1. I am a huge online shopper, which I tend to think is somewhat of a bad thing. This past year, Shopko, Payless, and Lifeway all went out of business. They just couldn't compete with Amazon and other online retailers. Sadly, that puts many people out of jobs. So, while I love to shop online, I do realize that there is a downside to it. (I still keep doing it, though.)

  2. I'm a big online shopper, too. I love little local shops but don't have enough time to shop them like I wish I could.

  3. I am not a Black Friday shopper either. Too much hubbub! Fortunately, my kids love books and we usually shop either online or in used bookstores.

    1. We spent lots of time in used book stores when the girls were home. Now hubby and I mostly just use our Kindles. I get most of my books through the Libby app and our library

  4. True, it is nice to feel and touch the item. I think I went once to Target at midnight but normally I don't go out on Black Friday.

    1. It was fun when I did it, but I really don’t have much desire to do it again. But who knows, someday I might change my mind.

  7. I think I've gone Black Friday shopping twice and I hated it each time. I do concede, however, that when I've had to make a quick run to some store for something I need while decorating, it's not too bad if you go later in the afternoon. On the whole, though, I'd rather sit at home in my pj's and search online.
