This week I am thankful for:
**Hot Water. We came home Monday after work and the pilot light was out on our hot water heater. We tried to light it multiple times, but no go. Called early Tuesday morning and they said they could be there early Wednesday morning. They showed up when they said they were and advised the expense to fix the problem was probably not worth it since our heater is 9 years old. So we decided to have a new one installed. One guy left to get the heater and the other started tearing down the old one. Within about 2 hours, they had it installed. There was a part that was bad (yes in a brand new heater) but he got it ordered from the manufacturer and will install that in the next day or two. However, he manually lit it and we currently have hat water. Let me tell you, a hot shower never felt so good as it did this morning.
So what are you thankful for.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a great day.
Cathy
Glad you have hot water again. Isn't it crazy to get something brand new with a part that already doesn't work?!
ReplyDeleteYes, it is. They are installing the part this morning. Hope all will be good then.
Deleteyou never know how blessed you are with hot water until its gone. The simple things!
ReplyDeleteTrue.
DeleteOh the things we take for granted, like a hot shower and hot water to wash our dishes and clothes, etc. We are so blessed to have these appliances and also to live in a society where they can be repaired/replaced within a reasonable amount of time. God is good, and we are blessed!!
ReplyDeleteThat is so true.
DeleteOhhhh no! I fear ours going the same way before long ... it's the only appliance we haven't had to replace. My late blogger friend Rick called it the Cost of Doing Life.
ReplyDeleteI like that and he's right.
DeleteI am thankful that you got your problem fixed quickly! Wow! There is always so much to be thankful for. Praise God! xo
ReplyDeleteYes, there is.
DeleteYes that is not fun. We had a great guy out a few years ago who actually saved us a lot of money. They do sell the part but usually try to sell you a new one. Ours was like 11 years old at the time. We still have it! Glad you got to take your shower.
ReplyDeleteThanks Debby. Me too.
DeleteSo glad you have it back. Our town is on Boil advisory becase of water tower repairs. Water! Water!
