1. I write the Hodgepodge questions so they'll post on Sunday, which sometimes throws me off in terms of what day it is. St. Patrick's Day will be celebrated on Monday, March 17th. Did you mark the day in some way? Wear green? Make a special meal? Watch or participate in a parade? No, we didn't do anything related to St. Patrick's Day.
2. Do you think luck plays a part in your life? Explain. No, I really don't.
3. Of the 15 green foods listed, which one is your favorite and how do you like it prepared? Any on the list that are a hard no for you? In general do you like fruits and veggies? As a kid did you eat them willingly or did you hide peas in your napkin hoping your momma wouldn't see?
4. What's something that makes you 'turn green'? (with envy or with illness... whichever way you want to run with it) The only thing I can think of is trying to read a book while riding in a car. Makes me nauseous pretty quick.
5. Did you spend a lot of time outdoors as a child? Doing what? Do you spend a lot of time outdoors now? Doing what? Yes quite a bit. Riding bikes, baseball, playing in the woods, swimming the years we had a pool, etc. No, I don't spend a lot of time outside at this age, except for walking the dog and walking myself. Sometimes I'll sit out on our front porch and read a book if it's not too hot.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you are having a great day. I plan to have a good day, after I'm finished at the dentist.

Lots of our answers were similar this week! And I don't like the dentist either! -- Mrs. T from Across my Kitchen Table
ReplyDeleteI agreed with a few of your answers. I do believe our childhoods and playing outside were so much better back in the day. I enjoyed your random quotes. Take care.
ReplyDeleteI think Asparagus, Broccoli and pistachios tie for first place in my favorites. 'Too afraid to even taste kale! (lol). These are great memes, and I love those fonts.
ReplyDeleteLove your random thoughts. Put a big smile on my faith. I'm having dessert tonight! I haven't been able to read in a moving car, either. Happy Spring to you a little early!!
ReplyDeleteMy grandchildren play outside as much as possible and love it. It's fun to watch them and inspires me to be out there moving more too. I just finished a book outside in the sunshine and that was really nice. The pollen and the humidity haven't truly kicked in yet, so taking advantage of that while I can. Have a great rest of the week Cathy!
ReplyDeleteThat last meme is so funny. Reading in the car makes me lightheaded too.
ReplyDeleteNo avocados or kale for me either! And yes, I loved being outdoors when I was a kid. I hated to come back inside! Now I don't mind being outside if it isn't too hot or too cold, it has to be "just right", Goldilocks! LOL. Oh, and oh yes, I hear you about reading in a car! No thank you! It's not as bad in the front seat as in the back, but still, I avoid it if I can. Not good at riding in the mountains either. Love the two memes at the end! So funny!!
ReplyDeleteI'm goldilocks when it comes to the weather as well!!:)
DeleteI like all the foods mentioned. I am allergic to pistachios though at one time I could eat them. I can't eat cucumbers either. I need to get back to the gym to walk on the treadmill. Have a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh my, I cannot read in the car. At all. I'm lucky that I can at least read the street signs:) Hope you are enjoying a nice weekend....and have a lovely Lord's Day tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteEmma and Phyllis were two funny, funny ladies. I am sitting here craving a snack and you know what, I am going to have it!! I am motivated by all of those who skipped dessert on the Titanic!!
ReplyDeleteHi Cathy, I hope you are doing well. I miss you blogging!
