If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL? The NFL is back in action along with all the college teams. Are you a fan? Who do you root for? If you're not a fan what do you do while the rest of America watches Saturday, Sunday, Monday night, and now Thursday night games?

I am not a fan of football.  Never have been.  However, if I were to root for a team, it would be the Bengals, just because they are the local team.  What I do when everyone else is watching?...live life.  Fortunately, my husband doesn't spend a lot of time watching football either.  He follows the scores and knows what's going on, but doesn't live in front of the TV for football either.

2. What's something I'll always find in your closet?
Shoes and clothes

3. Share one of your earliest memories.
Playing out in the back yard with my brothers and sisters.  Playing such things as army, rollerskating (in the garage), trying to learn to ride my brother's bike, playing in the sandbox and on the swingset.  All these things occurred sometime before 2nd grade.

4. What circus act best describes your week so far?
Juggling -- just trying to pull it all back together after vacation.

5. What's a food you disliked as a child but you love now?
Soup Beans and green beans

6. Describe your summer in three words.
Not Long Enough

7. Where were you on September 11, 2001? Will you do anything special to mark the day this year?
I was in surgery having my gallbladder removed.  I was in recovery when the first tower was hit.

8. Insert your own random thought here.
My baby turns 18 tomorrow!

  1. I have the same answer for #4. I bet it's hard to get back in the groove after a 3 week vacation!

  2. Oh wow... so you were loopy & missed the traumatic shock of the day... I can imagine how you felt waking up from surgery & learning all the events of the day :(

I hate trying to get back in the routine of life after a vacation

Ahh - roller skating on garage floors - so slick! :)

  3. Ah, juggling was a great answer. I'm sure we all can imagine that.

    Fun childhood memories.

  4. How awful and confusing it must have been to waken from surgery to that news! Happy Birthday to your lovely daughter. Grown up girls are fun too : )

  5. I can't imagine coming out of surgery to hear what happened on 9/11...must have been a real shocker. Hope your girl has a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

  6. I don't like football either, but when asked who is going to win a game, I can almost always pick the winner.......the team with the nicer helmets! lol

I'm sorry that you didn't get to meet my sister while you were at Disney. You would LOVE HER! Maybe next time! :D

  7. You had your gallbladder surgery on Sept 11, 2001? I had a hysterectomy on Sept 11, 2000, so we both have surgery anniversaries on Sept. 11.

Happy b'day to your daughter. They grow up so fast...

  8. Ditto #6! Happy birthday to your not-so-little one!!!!

  9. Not long enough - my summer too. I was just thinking about you the other day, friend! Hope you are doing well!
