1. What's surprised you most about your life or life in general?
One thing that surprises me is that I am actually 60 years old now. Who would've thought? Another thing is that after 41 years, I'm still working at the placed I started working when I was 19. My 19 year old self would have never dreamed I would stay this long.

3. What's a famous book set in your home state? Have you read it? On a scale of 1-5 (5 is fantastic) how many stars does it rate?
I don't know that it's famous, but at least I've heard of the author, although, I've never read the book. I think I'd like to though. I need to put it on my wish list at the library. It's called "The Frontiersmen" by Allan Eckert.
4. There are 60 days until Christmas...have you started your shopping? How do you stay organized for the holidays?
No, I haven't started shopping yet for Christmas. I'll probably shop some while I'm on vacation next month and then the rest I'll probably do online (which is my favorite way to shop).
5. October 26th is National Tennessee Day. Have you ever lived or spent any time in Tennessee? Is this a state you'd like to visit one day? The top rated tourist attractions in Tennessee are-

I have never lived in Tennessee, but have often vacationed there. I hope to go back many more times in my lifetime. I have been to The Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Elvis's Graceland, Dollywood, Oak Ridge American Museum of Science and Energy, I've been to Knoxville, but I'm not sure I've been to Downtown Knoxville.

Online is my favorite way to shop, too. The crowds and I do not get along very well. 60 is staring me in the face. This is my last year in the 50s and I'm going to miss them terribly. I enjoyed that decade but the 60s are a bit daunting. Have a wonderful Wednesday!

ReplyDeleteI think we are all surprised that life has sped by so quickly. I'm an online shopper, too! I wish I had had the foresight to buy Amazon stock long ago.
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of online shopping too. It seems like day-to-day life has gotten so hectic that it's just more efficient to click through a few sites and order online. 41 years at the same place? That's really pretty amazing and I think will be fairly uncommon to hear about. So many people job-hop now and employers don't always offer the best benefits to keep their employees loyal. Hope your week passes quickly so you can get to that beach!
ReplyDeleteI most of my regular shopping online. Especially at Walmart.com For Christmas shopping I enjoy the hustle and bustle of the mall. I know I am weird, but I really do enjoy the crowds.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that I am 67...life just seems to fly by the older we get...so we need to make the most of it every day. I'm glad to see so many others have written that they haven't started their Christmas shopping yet either. I rarely get started until after Thanksgiving. This year we have a wedding (our son) on Nov. 11, so I can't think of anything else until that is over. I haven't been back to TN in many years, but used to camp there on our family trips when I was a child. We'd go through the Smokies on our way to Ohio to visit our grandparents every summer, and we'd camp along the way.I loved that and have so many happy memories of that time.
