If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9

Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. The Hodgepodge lands on National Dog Day this year (August 26th). Do you own a dog? Did you have a dog when you were growing up, or maybe some other kind of pet? Would you say you're more of a dog person or a cat person? Neither is okay too : )
Yes, I own a dog.  Yes, we had dogs growing up.  The first one that I remember was a Boston Terrior named Poochie and my grandparents had her sister, Bubbles.  I am definitely a dog person.

2. Last time you felt 'dog tired'?
Monday night.  I woke up early (5:00am) and by the end of the day, I couldn't keep my eyes open while hubby and I were watching TV.

3. It's said you can't teach an old dog new tricks. When did you last prove this idiom true or prove it wrong?
I think it's false.  I think we can learn what we really want too.  I've recently learned this stitch in crochet and love it.

4. A favorite book, television show, or movie featuring a dog. Why did you love it?
A Dog Named Christmas.  I like it because it was a great feel good movie and it was about a dog and Christmas.  What more could you want.

5. Last time you had reason to (literally or figuratively) exclaim 'hot diggity dog'?
When I got to see both of my girls and my grandson this summer.

    1. Knitting isn’t my thing either unless it’s on a loom, but I can crochet.

  2. I like the colors in your crochet projects! They look so warm and cozy. Someday I am going to try to learn how.

Had to smile when I read that quote. My grandfather used to say that all the time.

    Have a wonderful day!

  5. Your crocheting is wonderful. I can't do it, so I always appreciate those who can. And your doggy is so sweet and cute. We don't have any pets currently and probably won't. We do have two sweet grandpuppies, however, "Sugar and Spice", and we visit them frequently, so that gives us our doggy fix. Love the quote at the end. Smart man, Abraham Lincoln. It's so sad the good die young, or certainly before their time. Have a blessed rest of your week.

  9. I never learned to crochet but my cousin did and he is a guy. My grandma and his mom were really great at it. I never had the interest. I only learned to do a single stitch in knitting. I have enjoyed learning about Bible journaling and now crafting. I love that saying and I tend to agree. Happy Dog day!

  15. Love your random thought! I'm STILL learning to zip my lips. Being too quick to speak is definitely one of my flaws. That movie looks like something my daughter would LOVE. She is a dog person for sure. Your new stitch looks great!

  16. Abraham Lincoln was a wise man. I am sure he took that from Proverbs ;)
So glad you were able to see your daughters and grandson this summer. My extended family doesn't live far away but I haven't seen them much since COVID. Your dog is so cute!
