Thankful Thursday

Click above to link up

First of all, I'm thankful for Rebecca for doing Thankful Thursday.  She has now decided to split this up with 2 other people to help post the link-up .  Check out Rebecca's blog above and then one of the others is Leslie at Once Upon a Time and Happily Ever After, who I have just recently started following.  The other is new to me, but we can check her out at Jennifer at All 4 Boys.  So glad to know that as Rebecca takes a break from time to time we can still have a link up and I plan to get to know these 2 ladies better.

So thankful that hubby almost always takes me to work and picks me up too.  He also, almost always goes and picks up some breakfast and brings it to me.  Heaven knows I can never seem to get up and get ready quick enough to have breakfast at home.  lol  He is such a blessing to me.

I'm thankful for the nice weather we've been having this week.  Not too hot and not too muggy.  Today is a high of 78 and sunny, which is about perfect to me.

I'm also very thankful for every new day God allows me to live.

So what are you thankful for today?

Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a blessed day.

Cathy

  1. I would love if Hubby took me & picked me up too because there's so much wasted time in traffic - at least if you were together, it would be well spent.
& thanks for hanging with the TT with me - excited for you to get ot know the other 2 ladies well too - they're awesome!

    1. I used to drive all the time, but for the last several years, we've ridden together and I love it! We are only about a mile maybe from each other and we work the same hours, so it's really nice.

I'm looking forward to getting to know them too.

  2. That is so awesome that your husband is driving you and then picking up breakfast. That sounds like a perfect temperature. We have been into the 90's with some humidity which we normally don't have much of. Amen to God!
Today I am thankful to be meeting up with my bowling friend Kendra who I haven't seen since March of 2020.

  3. Hey there, Cathy! I love that your husband takes you breakfast each day- what a way to honor you in your marriage! I am always looking for ideas to do that sort of thing within my own marriage. I don't work away from home, so I send mine off with a lunch, coffees to go and water everyday. I know that he appreciates that, because if I'm not home, he won't take anything with him, except coffee! ;) I also have to say that I'm a little jealous of your nice weather- it's been SO HOT this week where I live, which is near Memphis, Tn. My hair is naturally curly and it has been epically big every single day. I'm smiling and laughing as I write this. I hope you have a great day!

    1. Hi Jennifer. Trust me, we've had a lot of hot and humid days this year and I'm sure more to come. But I'm enjoying today a lot. My hair is just the opposite of yours. Mine won't hardly hold any curl on hot, humid days. I hope you have a great day too.

  4. How neat, having your own driver and breakfast-bringer! I've gotten where I'll do most anything to avoid driving in rush hours. This morning coming back from the VA we barely missed getting sideswiped by an 18 wheeler. (Guess we were in his blind spot.) So blessed!

    1. I really don't like driving much any more either which makes me doubly happy that he is willing.

So glad you weren't hit. That had to have been really scary.

  6. Sounds like a perfect set up, and then you are going to retire soon! Will hubby still go get breakfast for you? I think he should! LOL. Will your husband be retiring soon as well? I know you have a church, so maybe his time is more flexible and you will be able to do some "ministry" things together too. I know it will be an adjustment for you, but it will be a wonderful one, and someday you'll wonder how you ever had time to work! LOL. Take care and have a blessed weekend.

    1. He would definitely bring me breakfast if I asked. But I'm looking forward to being able to fix breakfast at home. I only do that a supper sometimes now. No, he doesn't plan to retire (he's actually 4 years younger than me) and as you say he's a minister and sometimes I'm not sure they every completely retire. However, he does intend to change his office schedule a bit. Hope you have a great weekend Pam.

  7. What a sweetheart of a husband. I think he kinda likes you, girl!!
Yes, 78 is a delightful temperature. We are basking in our cooler days here in El Paso. Last summer was dreadful - in more ways than one. We nearly cooked alive. This summer we are having some rain, some breezes and some fresh, cooler mornings.
