Friday Photos

I have just a few pictures this week I thought I would share.

First of all, our mailbox was hit sometime in the night on Tuesday and completely destroyed.  I just hope whoever hit it was not hurt nor their car too damaged.  They completely split the mailbox post in half and the mailbox itself was in pieces too.

This part was in the ditch

You can see how far it flew and how totally destroyed it was.

We bought a new post and mailbox on Wednesday but it was raining so we decided to put it up last night.  Hubby and I are not very good at this kind of stuff, but we have done it before and thought we could.  Our neighbor man across the street came over to help and we told him we thought we could do it as we planned to use the same hole.  Well, we found out we really needed to dig the hole deeper and we don't have a post hole digger.  Our neighbor came home from work and asked if he could help.  He had a post hole digger so he went and got it and he actually ended up doing the work with a little help from us.  We are so blessed to have such wonderful neighbors.  I love where we live and who lives nearby.

Lucy is checking out the new mailbox.  I'm so pleased with it.

The sky was so beautiful later when I took Lucy out for a walk.

I couldn't resist taking several pictures.

Another one

And one last one.

I hope you have a wonderful day and thanks for taking a few minutes to visit here.

  2. How disappointing that 'culprit' didn't stop -- or at least leave a note.
I'm glad to hear everything's back in order; aren't good neighbors a blessing?

  5. Wow! that was quite a hit! The person had to be either texting or drunk or just driving way too fast. They should have stopped and offered to pay for it. How sweet of your neighbor to help dig the new hole, etc. That is a job! And it looks so nice now. Love your sky photos too! Beautiful neighborhood!
