This my first actual day of retirement on a day that I typically would have worked. I believe I’m going to
love it. However, I do think it’s going to take some time to adjust to
it all.
I'm not sure what all I'll be doing while retired. But I've decided to come to the church one day a week and help my hubby with clerical work and whatever else I think of to get into. I'm sure I'll be posting here about whatever is going on in this "new" life.
God has blessed me with a good job for many years and now I hope to be blessed with many years of healthy retirement.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a great day.
Cathy
Enjoy your retirment. I do a lot of volunteer work here in town that keeps me busy.
ReplyDeleteCongratulation! I'm so excited for you. Enjoy each moment. ((Hugs))
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and welcome to the retired club!! My advice would be to not get yourself tied up too quickly in too many "projects". Give yourself time to adjust and just relax. It takes some getting used to the fact that you don't have to jump right up and get dressed and out the door by a certain time, but what I've learned is that it is good to keep some kind of regular routine so that you will feel like you are accomplishing something each day. But now you can pick and choose the things you want to do without feeling obligated or rushed. Trust me, people will find things for you to do all too quickly...so give yourself time to figure out exactly what you want to do first. Mainly just ENJOY!!! You've earned it!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great bag! I'm sure your hubby will appreciate your helping out on the clerical side of things!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! I love the saying on that bag! You will love retirement!! xo
ReplyDeleteThat's a cute bag! And it's a good idea to help your husband out one day a week. I'm sure before you know it, you'll have your days figured out.
ReplyDeleteI bet your hubby is going to love having your help & just having you close.
ReplyDeleteCant wait to see where retirement takes you.
