Good morning and I hope you are having a wonderful Monday! I am so far and I'm trusting the rest of the day will be good too. I woke up around 6:00 and thought, I really don't feel like walking today. But Lucy had other plans. lol She got up a little bit later than me and definitely wanted to go out. So out we went and if I was going out, we might as well get our walk done. And so we did. and it really was very nice. Here are a few pictures I took while I was out and about. Some of our neighbors have the most beautiful flowers.
Sorry about the bag in this photo. I guess I'm trying to hold too many things and still take photos. |
While walking I listened to another podcast by Lisa Harper called Back Porch Theology. They've been doing these podcasts for around 6 months and I've only just recently checked them out. I've listened to 3 or 4 and they are so interesting and fun. I really just love learning more about Jesus and the Bible.
Here's a screenshot of what I was listening to. |
Last week I started a Prayer and Scripture Wall in my office. As I've said here before, my daughter used this room multiple years ago as an office where she did here online school work on days she came to church with her day. A friend helped her decorate the walls with things she loved. I've left most of her stuff and have added a few of my own. Well, last week I decided I wanted to write prayer requests and also scriptures that I really like and so I put them on sticky notes and then post them on this wall where she had a bunch of mirrors hanging. I'll put a picture below. Anyway, seeing these scriptures and prayer requests each time I'm here reminds me to pray for these needs. For me, I think that's a good thing as my memory is not always the best.
Ignore the smudges and streaks on the mirrors as that's what I'm doing. lol |
Hubby did another sermon from Job yesterday. It was Session 12 and the final in this series will be this coming Sunday. I'll post yesterday's below and if you're interested the whole series is on YouTube. It's been a really good series.
Beautiful morning.
ReplyDeleteI don't know who you are but yes it was a beautiful morning.
DeleteLove the post its - like a prayer closet - except make it a wall
ReplyDeleteLook at Lucy - little trainer there!
Well, I must admit I just watched War Room again recently and I think it kind of inspired me to do this. And yes, Lucy does keep me moving.
DeleteIf our girls let me sleep past 5:30 I'd think there was something wrong with them! Your sticky notes remind me of that splendid movie, War Room.
ReplyDeleteMy inspiration for sure.
DeleteWhat a great idea to have a prayer wall. Love it!! Beautiful flowers and sunrise on your doggy-forced walk! Have a blessed week ahead!! xo
ReplyDeleteThanks Terri!
DeleteLove the photos of your walk...such beautiful skies and flowers. Lucy is a good doggy to get you up and out the door in time to see all of that beauty!! I love your prayer wall! That is a great idea! I also love that you get to go to church where your hubby is the pastor and share in the ministry there with him. I used to do that back in the day and it was always special. Ministry for us was always a kind of team effort. Sadly nowadays a lot of pastor's wives don't show that much interest in their ministry. I think they are really missing out on a blessing.
ReplyDeleteI agree. I think they are missing out too.
DeleteBeautiful pictures on your walk. I love colorful flowers. Thank you for visiting my blog😊. Have a blessed day, hugs.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting here too. Hope you have a really great day.
DeleteSo many good things in this post! I love your early morning walks with the pup. At least you have a beautiful view to enjoy while you do this task! I love beautiful flowers and am always amazed at some of what I see in and around our little town. I LOVE Lisa Harper! I've not listened to one of those episodes yet, but I do follow her on Spotify so that I can listen someday. She's one of my favorite authors/speakers. I got to meet her once, at a Lifeway event in Nashville, back when Lifeway bookstores were still around. She was launching her study that was new at that time on the book of Job. I also met Mandisa, who was there with her.
ReplyDeleteI love your "war room"! I will have one of those myself someday. Right now all of our rooms are still filled, so we're short on extra space, which I wouldn't trade for anything. I hope you had a wonderful day and start to your week!
