Wednesday Hodgepodge

Click above to visit and link up with Joyce.

1. Sum up your November in ten words or less. How about no words, just pictures.

2. Are you hosting any holiday parties this year?  No Attending any? Not parties, but lunches, yes. Party pooper, party animal, or life of the party...where do you land when it comes to parties? Probably somewhere in the middle.

3. Do you purchase holiday clothing of any sort (sparkly tops, Christmas jammies, Santa suit, etc). Rarely, but I did buy these Snoozies last year. I also have jewelry (earrings and pins) that are Christmassy.

4. What's your go-to recipe when you're asked to bring an hors d'oeuvre to a party? Never been asked to.

5. December 3rd is National Play Outside Day...what might you do to celebrate? Depending on the weather, I'm considering going to the Horse Carriage Parade in our town. Here's a post I made about it in 2009.

6. Insert your own random thought here. My sister and I did some decorating of the graves earlier this week.
My Brother

Dad and Mom

My cousin

Grandpa and Grandma (my mom's parents)

My Aunt and Uncle

  1. I love your tradition of decorating the grave sites. My parent's ashes are interred at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery (Minneapolis), so I've never had the opportunity. That image of Tracy silhouetted again the sunset is wonderful ... frame worthy, I do believe!

  3. You certainly had a beautiful trip to the beach this past month! Love the pictures. And I love that you are able to decorate your loved ones' graves. We are not near any of ours and I feel bad about it. My MIL was always so diligent to keep flowers on her parents' graves and all her other relatives, and now she is there with no one to decorate hers. We may need to make a trip to do that sometime soon. It's about an hour and 1/2 away. Thank you for doing that. Hope you have a blessed and wonderful December!! Always a busy month, but a blessed one!

  5. Hi, Loved your photos. :-)
I like that you take time to decorate the graves. It is something that has gone to the wayside. I need to do better at doing it. Thank you for the reminder.

  7. A picture is worth a thousand words. :) Looks like a wonderful trip. A horse carriage parade sounds like fun. None of our family graves are anywhere near where we live. Happy December to you!

  9. Yes, the pictures say it all! Cute Snoozes. Hope you get a chance to go to the parade. That is so sweet decorating their graves. My family members are back in Illinois.
