Good Monday Morning to You!
It's a good day for a good day. I've got so many things to do this week, but first I want to thank God for a good weekend He gave us. I haven't posted since Tuesday last week, so this may flow back to some days last week. Hubby had a couple doctor appointments (first one was last Monday) and I drive him there so I can let him off at the door. He's got some issues with walking too much, so at least by dropping him off at the door, it shortens the walk a little bit. His other appointment was on Thursday and then we went to Cracker Barrel and had breakfast afterwards.
We sat near the fire and it was beautiful to watch. |
Tuesday night we picked up his mom and we went out and looked at Christmas lights and just had a great time talking and laughing and being together. Of course, we missed his dad as he used to always be part of these nights too. But we had a great time and saw some beautiful lights.
This is one scene from one of the drive thru displays we visited. |
Wednesday we had the annual business meeting at church and we are so blessed with a wonderful group of people and all went well there too.
Before grooming. Lucy refused to look at the camera. |
I love their chips and creamy jalapeno sauce |
After grooming. The bow was gone after about 2 minutes in the house. lol |
Sounds like a nice weekend! I love when Cracker Barrel has the fire going. Here in N. Florida we don't get it all too often. We looked at lights this weekend too, which was fun.
ReplyDeleteLooking at Christmas lights is one of our favorite things.
DeleteCracker Barrel has the best fireplace! I love their breakfasts, too. Last time we had a 4-Star waitress. I remember reading Sean Dietrich's column about the stars on their aprons and commented. I think she was tickled that we'd noticed and said something.
ReplyDeleteI’ve never heard anything about that. I’ll have to check it out.
DeleteHere you go, Cathy. After I commented, I thought maybe not everyone knows about the stars. Here's a link to that column.

Thank you. That is so interesting.
DeleteI love getting the spot near the fire place.Something about it is so comforting.
ReplyDeleteLook at your little groomed girl. So cute!
It’s my favorite place to sit there when it’s cold out.
DeleteYour Sunday service sounds lovely! I know you were glad to have that Christmas potluck again. Godly fellowship is always such a gift!
ReplyDeleteYes, it is.
DeleteOh, how sweet with the short-lived bow! And isn't that fireplace just wonderful. I wish I had one myself. I enjoyed the sermon and laughed out loud at the story of the love note. It was a great way to start my day off this morning.
ReplyDeleteOh Annie, I'm so glad you enjoyed it.
DeleteLucy is looking so fancy! Bows, apparently, are for silly girls:)
