Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for my life, health, family and Jesus Christ my Savior.  I'm so glad God made a way of salvation for anyone who will accept it.  We don't deserve it, but He loves us.  Sometimes I wonder why, but I never doubt that He does.  If you haven't chosen to become His child, but you would like to, these verses below will tell you how.

Romans 10:  9-13 "If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.” Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him. For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

It's just that simple.  From time to time I start doubting my salvation because I see myself acting in ways that I shouldn't.  But I just always come back to these scriptures and remind myself that I am His and He loves me and I can ask forgiveness if I need to and then I'm in right relationship with Him. I can also ask Him to help me to become more like Jesus, because I know that is His will and He will answer that prayer.

So that is what I am so thankful for this morning.  If you don't know Him, please consider coming to Him for salvation.

  1. Amen! I am always thankful for that as well. I feel like that doubt is something we all experience from time to time. I have to pray to push through it and have told the Lord before that sometimes I feel like a fraud. I know I'm not, though. He knows my heart. Thanks for linking up today!
