Tuesday 4 - Saint Patrick

Saint Patrick

It's time once again for Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4.

Since Saint Patrick's Day is March 17 it might be nice to talk about it.

1. Do you celebrate the day and is it more secular or religious for you?  No, I don't celebrate it.  Sometimes if I happen to think about it, I might wear green.

2. Americans eat corned beef and cabbage but it's not traditional in Ireland at all.   In my  house its Colcannon and Beef Stew or Cottage pie (shepherds pie made with beef instead of lamb).. which is more realistic and far less salty.  Do you make special meals for holidays?  No, not really.  What will you make for St. Patrick's Day?  I have no idea.  Since it's on Friday, we may just order in pizza or something.  Way to early to know.  lol

3.  Do you have much green in your wardrobe? No Does the color look good on you? Never really thought about it.

4. In school we put up giant green shamrocks and Leprechauns. We made green paper chains to decorate our classrooms.  What do you do to decorate?  I do not decorate for St. Patrick's Day.

Thanks for visiting.  You can link up with Tuesday 4 here.

  1. Pizza sounds great. I used to put up decor for the day when my kids were little. I've gotten lazy though.

  3. Fridays always used to be our pizza night; not sure why we grew away from it. Please enjoy a slice for me!

  4. Yes, we love pizza on Friday nights too. But we will be having company staying at our house this Thursday and Friday, and right now I am not sure what we are going to have for supper...it's going to be a surprise to me I think. LOL. And yes, the Dollar Tree is a great place to get cheap decorations for every holiday and season. It's all good fun. I didn't do much this year, but I will wear green on that day just so I don't get pinched. LOL. have a great week.

    1. I think I'm going to skip the St. Patrick's decorations and get some Easter so it can be up longer. Have a great day.

  5. Wearing green is about as far as I go with St. Patrick's Day. We are usually on Spring Break for St. Patrick's day, so I don't have to worry about it. Loved your answers! Have a nice week.

  7. Hi Cathy, we don't plan for meals ahead of time. Our daughter will ask so that she can get groceries for us since her kids are with us 4 days a week. I decided I want lamb, so we have to buy some soon. Enjoy your week!

    1. Enjoy your lamb. I haven't eaten lamb in many years. Maybe one of these days I will again.

  8. IT's not a holiday we celebrate either, but I love corned beef, so I do make that sometime around that day, but not necessarily on it.
