Did you know that Sunday was National Ice Cream Day? Hubby told me and then I knew I just had to have an ice cream. haha Like I really need an excuse.
We stopped at our local UDF in the afternoon to get an ice cream. I wanted chocolate chip, but they were out. Really! How in the world are you out of Chocolate Chip? But anyway, fortunately, I'm not too terribly picky. I got a Cookies and Cream instead. Delicious. Still had most of it left when we got home, so of course, Miss Lucy thought she needed some.

Thank you mom! That was so good!! |
Personally, I think we should have National Ice Cream Day, 2 or 3 times a year. What about you, did you celebrate National Ice Cream day?
This is the first I've heard of National Ice Cream Day! Had I known, I certainly would have joined in the fun. And I agree ... how in the world can they be out of chocolate chip (it's my favorite flavor, especially when the chip are a little larger than usual ... I want to have a little bit of a crunch and chocolate flavor when I take a bite). Cookies and cream would probably have been my second choice. ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh, no! I didn't realize it was National Ice Cream Day! A cone of Rocky Road would've been delicious, even if I'm not supposed to eat it...
ReplyDeleteI didn't even know that... dang it! I'm not a huge fan of ice cream, but I coulda gone for some sherbert... or at least a blizzard :)
ReplyDeleteI knew it was National Ice Cream Day and I didn't get any :(
ReplyDeletedang, I missed it!!!! Ice cream is my dessert of choice!!! I think I will just have to have a redo!!! :)
ReplyDeleteMy dog loves ice cream too. We sometimes order her a kiddie cone : ) I had a bite of hubs chocolate ice cream soda on Sunday evening. I have a lot of events coming up, so was trying to keep the sweets to a minimum this weekend.
ReplyDeleteSomebody posted this on FB! So we went out and bought waffle cones to celebrate!
ReplyDeleteI celebrated it and didn't even know I was celebrating it! Lol! The kids and I took a walk around a lake and stopped for ice cream after. One of my sons and I had strawberry and my other son had rainbow sherbet. Yum!
ReplyDeleteNo I didn't celebrate because I didn't know! Your cone looks delicious......
ReplyDeleteI did not celebrate, but I'm sure it's not too late! ;)
