Thankful Thursday

Click the button above to link up with Rebecca at Knit by God's Hand for Thankful Thursday.

I'm so thankful to have completed the second night of my sleep study.  The first night revealed I have severe sleep apnea and this second night was with a c-pap machine so they could decide how much air pressure is needed to keep me from stopping breathing.  It'll be 7-10 days before I hear from the doctor and see what his recommendations are.  I really wasn't bothered by the mask much at all, so when it's for real at home, we'll see how that goes.  lol  I'm thankful to have found out about my problem and am hoping this will make a big difference in how I feel in the future.

I'm very thankful for all my blogging friends through the almost 12 years I've been blogging.  I was reading Rebecca's post and she was talking about a particular blogging friend.  I have so enjoyed everyone that I've blogged with over these years and some of you don't just feel like blogging friends, you feel like real life friends.  And you know what?  As far as I'm concerned you are just friends.  I've learned so much from so many of you and I've laughed at your posts and prayed for you in hard times.  I just really love this blogging world.  So yeah, Rebecca, I stole this thought from you, but it is such a good one and I want everyone to know how much I appreciate your comments and thoughts and prayers over the years.

So, what are you thankful for?

Cathy

  2. I love my bloggy friends! So glad your doctors seem to have a handle on what's disrupting your sleep. My son couldn't handle the C-PAP machine, but then he's a fussy sort. (*grin*)

  3. My husband has severe sleep apena and the dr. said its weight related (why is that dr.'s always say that about every little thing, makes me so angry).

I am very thankful for ALL my blogging friends. smiles

    1. I’m sure being overweight doesn’t help the apnea but thin people have it too.

  4. I'm glad your sleep study went so well. I had one done a few years ago and while they wanted me to go on the machine, they never actually told me how bad my sleep apnea is. They were the same with my husband. Since our insurance wouldn't cover all of the cost, neither of us got the machine. I really think he needs one, but he isn't the type to speak up to doctors. Getting him to express how he feels is like pulling teeth. Anyway, I hope you feel better when you get your machine. Everyone I know who has one says they feel a lot better.

I am thankful for all my online friends, too. Everyone adds something to my life. :)

    1. Evidently mine is pretty severe. I’m actually looking forward to getting the machine and seeing what happens. Everyone I know that uses one really likes them too.

  6. I am glad to hear about your positive experience with the sleep study. I will be curious to see how that goes. I know I probably have that in my future too, but I have been resisting it. So I will be anxious to hear how you do, and I do pray it helps you. Yes, I do think of our blogging friends as real friends. It seems like some of my friends here are even closer than my "real friends" in life. I think we have a stronger spiritual connection in some way, and that is what binds us together. It's a blessing to have this connection in Christ, isn't it? Love your springy background. so cute. Have a blessed day.

    1. Me too Pam. Hopefully, it won't take to long to get the equipment. I agree I thing the spiritual connection we have makes a big difference. It's a blessing to know friends from all over are praying for you during the trying times and a it's a blessing to pray for others.
