If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9

Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. What's something you could do today to feel more peaceful?
I did it Tuesday.  I took a personal day and stayed home from work.  We had some plumbing problems and had to wait on a plumber, so I just took the day off.  I did some housework and did some stuff on the computer and relaxed and watched a movie and took the dog on some walks and it was just peaceful.

2. June 2nd is National Rotisserie Chicken day. Who knew? Are you a fan of rotisserie chicken? You've purchased one at your local market for tonite's dinner. Will you serve as is or make something else using the chicken?
I do like Rotisserie Chicken, but I did not know it had it's own day.  lol.  If I bought one, I'd serve it as is with some vegetables.

3. I read a list recently (go here to read more) of 20 of the most beautiful places in America. How many of these have you seen up close and in person? Of the sites on this list that you haven't seen, which would you most like to see?
Antelope Canyon Arizona, Kenai Fjords Alaska, White Mountains New Hampshire, Crater Lake Oregon, The Palouse Washington and Idaho, Grand Prismatic Spring Wyoming, Multnomah Falls and Columbia River Gorge Oregon, Horsehoe Bend Arizona, Na Pali Coast Kauai Hawaii, Antelope Valley California, Lake Tahoe California, The Berkshires Massachussets, Maroon Bells Colorado, Angel Oak South Carolina, Acadia National Park Maine, Grand Teton National Park Wyoming, Turnip Rock Michigan, Central Park New York City, Niagara Falls New York, and Skagit Valley Tulip Fields Washington
I have not been to any of these places.and I don't know enough about any of them to pick.  But I'd probably enjoy most any of them.
4. What's one pretty spot you'd add to the list in question #3? Are there travel plans of any kind on your calendar right now? Does that make you happy, anxious, excited, sad, or relieved?
I'd like to see the Grand Canyon!  My plans are to go back to Myrtle Beach in November, Lord willing.

5. Tell us one un-COVID related thing you're looking forward to in the month of June.
Going back to church this Sunday.

6. Insert your own random thought here.
Today, June 3rd would have been my dad's 92nd birthday, and my mom's 87th birthday and their 70th wedding anniversary.  Happy Birthday and Anniversary mom and dad!  I miss you and love you.

  2. So glad you can return to church this week. We are still waiting here.
How special that your parents had the same birthday and were married on that day! May your memories bring you joy today.

  3. How neat that your parents shared a birthday and then made it their wedding day, too! A very special day, indeed.
My bible study met in person last night for the first time since March. We had the best time and just hugged the stuffing out of each other.

    1. Yes I do really miss them. And yes, we plan to be in church this Sunday. We are a very small group, so it should be very easy to observe all of the cautions. I really am excited to see everyone again.

  5. Good for you taking a day off. Sounds like it was a good one! I hope you get to see the Grand Canyon. I've been telling Mark I need to see it again. Our kids were young when we went there. Yes, you definitely need your trip to Myrtle Beach! Oh wow, all on the same day. ((HUGS))

    1. I'm hoping one of these days we will go. Hubby went with his parents the summer before we married but wants to go back too.

  6. Co-birthdays and an anniversary, too? How wonderful!!!
Having lived in Arizona, I would strongly urge everyone to see the Grand Canyon at least once. Pictures just don't do it justice. 10 years ago when son's family came to visit, my little granddaughter was a bit taken aback: "I thought we were just going to see a big hole in the ground."

  8. Sounds like a great day to me as well. We all need those days to "just be." I've had quite a few of those lately, more than I care if I'm truthful. :0)) Have a great rest of the week!

  10. Wow, June 3rd sure was a special day for your parents! I am sure they are celebrating in heaven. Even though we know we probably don't think about those days once we get to heaven, it is nice to think of them being there together and celebrating in some way. Probably EVERY day is a celebration there! Glad you had a peaceful day off, and I hope you got the plumbing fixed! Have a blessed day today.
