Bits of This and That

Happy Monday morning!  I'm in my office at Church and it's a beautiful day outside.  Lucy and I took an early morning walk again and it was 58 degrees out and the skies were beautiful.  These morning walks I have been taking have been so good for Luci and me.  It kinda just jumpstarts my day.

Blue skies and wispy clouds are a favorite.

I love this bunny.  He was watching us, but
actually stayed in place and let me take
a couple pictures.

We were blessed with a very nice weekend.  It was a little hotter than I like, but we just stayed in the AC as much as we could.

We went to lunch with his mom and then for a little shopping on Friday.  Then on Saturday hubby and I grabbed lunch and then came home and did some laundry and some reading and TV at home.

On Sunday we had the morning and evening services.  I've posted the sermon below from Sunday morning and then Sunday evening we had a hymn sing, singing tons of songs from the hymnal of the Church of God.  There is such a rich heritage in these hymns.  We had a bunch of visitors from another church that doesn't have evening services on Sundays any more.  They added such a rich tone of voices and it was absolutely so fun and wonderful!

So, it was mostly a very relaxing weekend with a lot of peace and joy!

Thank you for visiting and I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  Tell me something you enjoyed over the weekend.

  1. We had a hymn sing last Sunday evening (on Father's Day....all the men got to request their favorite hymn) and they are such a blessing. We have a (very) small orchestra and I do feel a bit badly for those playing so many songs! I know it takes a lot of air!!:) Here's to a blessed week ahead!

    1. We just use piano and organ and there were 3 of us who switched around. It was a lot of fun,

  2. Oh, your weather sounds delicious! Ours is the first church I've ever attended where, if I have to miss services, I truly miss it. Does that make sense? Lots to be said for a small congregation focused on those things which truly matter.
