Tuesday 4 - Roses

Roses

Here is another of Tuesday 4 invented by Toni Taddeo and kept alive in her memory.     White June is the month of roses, they do bloom all summer long and well past September in many places.

1. What is your favorite color of roses? Orange Do you have a favorite kind of rose? I have memories of mom and dad having red climbing roses hanging of the split rail fence around our back patio in the home we lived in from the time I was 3 through 2nd grade, I think.  My friend grows these roses in her yard and brought me some earlier this year.  The orange are my favorite.

2. Do you ever buy flowers for your home? Yes, every once in a while I do.

3. Are there any roses in your yard or neighborhood? There are some around our neighborhood. If not what kind of things grow around you? There are all kinds of flowers around our neighborhood.  Here are a couple that I have seen while out walking with Lucy.

4. What do you see when you look out your front door? My hummingbird feeder.   How about out your kitchen window or back door? The neighborhood cats who like to sleep on our outdoor swing.

I'm planning to start blogging again, but I'm sure it will take me a bit to get back into the swing of it.  The break has been really good for me, but I've really missed blogging.  I have read quite a few of your blog posts over the month I was gone, but didn't comment too much.

This was a pretty easy one to start back with.

  1. It's so good to see you back on Blogland, Cathy! I know little to nothing about flowers, but those in your second image are so beautiful ... like little girls dressed up for Easter.
That 'Peanuts' meme speaks to me.

    1. I don't know anything about flowers either. I love your description of "little girls dressed up for Easter." Yes, the Peanuts meme speaks to me to. Did you know that Charles Schultz, the creator of Peanuts was a Christian?

  2. I absolutely love flowers! My Granie had an orange rose bush. I remember it was about as tall as me and they smelled so good! I should have dig it up and brought it home with me when she passed away, but I didn't. Loved your answers!
    Have a nice week. ♥

  5. Our neighborhood cat "Blackie" has been sleeping on our back porch lately, and likes to try a different wicker chair each time. Reminds me of Goldilocks and the 3 bears. LOL. "This one was just right!" I love flowers too, but just don't have a knack for gardening much. It's just too hot here and I don't have the stamina to keep up with the weeding. It's good to have you back among us. I've been wondering how you were doing. Glad to see you again! :)
