If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Thankful Thursday

Things I'm thankful for in pictures from our trip.

Time with this little guy.  We are so blessed to have had 4 days with him.

Wearing the hat Papaw made him out of his placemat.

His papaw was so proud because he gave him his first ear of corn, showed him how to eat it and Colton chowed down.  I'm so thankful for the bond between Papaw and grandson that is developing.

Time spent with Kelli was so awesome.  We had some of the best talks.

Time spent walking on this beach

Getting to watch Colton swimming and having fun.

Rainforest Cafe Fun with Kerri and Colton in Texas

Rainforest Cafe Fun with Kelli in Florida
We had such a wonderful trip and were blessed with safe travels for 2 weeks.  We were on the road a lot, but God protected us the whole time.

Wednesday Medley

1.  Haiku poetry is actually pretty easy to write.  Give it a try right here...
Am not a poet
But giving it a try
Still not a poet
2.  Haiku poetry aside, have you ever written a poem?  Will you share it with us?
Nope, see the above.
3.  Do you have a favorite poet or does poetry usually make you yawn?
I'm not a big fan of poetry.
4.  April 17  is National Ellis Island Family History Day, too,  Did any of your ancestors or relatives immigrate through Ellis Island from another country?
Yes, my great grandfather and his brother immigrated from Germany.  I've always heard one of them was a stow-a-way.  Never verified for sure.
5.  We also celebrate National Cheeseball Day on April 17th.  Do you have a favorite cheeseball recipe to share with us or have cheeseballs basically disappeared from parties today?
My sister makes a really good cheeseball and that's about the only one I ever get.  I do not have a recipe with me, although I have made it before.
6.  If you want to share, please tell us something random about your week.
After church Sunday we are leaving on a trip to Florida and Texas to visit our girls.  I can't wait!  Although, I haven't even started packing yet.  lol

Thankful Thursday

Things I am thankful for:

** Our local PetSmart does a good job grooming Lucy.  We've used several different groomers there and they have all done well.

**  God's beautiful spring creation.  This blooming tree is in my sister's yard.

**  Hubby and I were involved an accident on Saturday.  I'm thankful that we were not injured and the damage is not terrible and we will still be able to take the van on our trip.

**  I've enjoyed having time to work on this baby blanket this week.  Hoping to get it completed before Easter.

**  We went to breakfast at Cracker Barrel and this cute bunny sat on the hearth.  Just had to get a picture.  Oh and breakfast was delicious!

Hope you have plenty of things to be thankful for this week.  You can click here to join in with Rebecca and Friends.

Thanks for visiting.

Wednesday Medley

1. How many siblings do you have? 4  Are you rivals or do you support each other in all you do?  I believe we support each other very well as adults.  Now when we were kids, I'm sure we were rivals at time, but no one else better pick on us.  lol

2.  Have you heard of the Birth Order Book?  What are your thoughts on the premise that your birth order affects everything you do in life? I have heard of the book but have not read it, so it's a little hard for me to answer this.  I'm the middle child, so I know I must be the most special.  lol

3.  Is there something that you still do that drives your siblings crazy?  Talking way too much.  I guess that's why they called me Chatty Cathy.

4.  Are you closer to your siblings now than you were when you were younger?  I think I've always felt pretty close to them.  Being in the middle gave me opportunity to be close with the older and younger ones.  There have been times we didn't get to be as close as at other times in life.

5.  Would you dare to tell us an embarrassing story about a sibling?  No, I don't think I will here.  They might hurt me.  lol

6.  Tell us something random about your week.
My eye doctor sent me to a neuro specialist because of something he saw during my regular exam.  I went to see him yesterday and all is good!  My optic nerve is exactly what it's supposed to be.  Thank you Lord!  Love those good reports from the doctor.

Thankful Thursday

Things I'm thankful for today:

*  Bible Study - our ladies' group is doing "One in a Million" by Priscilla Shirer and it is so awesome.  It's based of the Israelites release from captivity in Egypt and wandering in the wilderness and then reaching Canaan.  And how only 2 of the original group of 2 million actually made it to the Promised Land.  Which means only one in a million made it.  If only a few are going to make it to living fully the life God intends for us (our Promised Land), I want to make sure I'm one of them.

*  Good results - I've going in for my yearly mammogram and all is well.  I love getting this report!  God has truly blessed me.

*  I got my new glasses last week as my exam showed I needed some new corrections made in the lenses.  I'm still deciding whether I like them or not.  But at least I'm seeing pretty good with them after the first couple of days of getting used to them.

*  They tell me the weather is beautiful outside (almost perfect they said).  I can't wait to go home and take the puppy for a walk this evening.  I think we'll both be thankful.

So what are you thankful for?  If you'd like to see other people's lists, click here.
